Morning Plenary Session: A Woman’s Perspective – 10:00am

The opening panel will highlight the experiences and insights of high-achieving women in politics. Speakers are invited to make remarks and take questions from the audience.

The History of Women’s Political Rhetoric – 11:00am

This workshop will look back to the historic National Woman’s Party for lessons about strategic messaging and media campaigns. Attendees will learn how NWP activists used banners and cartoons to change public opinion on suffrage and women’s rights.

This workshop will examine women’s participation and the impact that their representation has on policies affecting women. Panelists will utilize historical perspectives and current data to comment on the significance and influence of gender and the role women play in policymaking.

Campaign Training: Women Running for Office – 4:30pm

This workshop will focus on skills and information needed for women considering a run for office in the short term or long term. Experts in the field will guide attendees through the steps to starting and strengthening a campaign, including information on dealing with gender-based attacks.

Closing Plenary Session: The Significance of A Woman’s Perspective – 5:30pm
