Private Events Overview

The Sewall-Belmont House and Museum is a showcase of antiques and an extensive collection of art, memorabilia and statuary that tells the story of women's struggle for suffrage and equal rights.

Situated at the corner of Constitution Avenue and 2nd Street, NE, the House is conveniently located in the heart of Capitol Hill adjacent to the Hart Senate Office Building. The Supreme Court is one block away and the Capitol is three blocks away.

The interior terrace, exterior terrace and tented area create a picturesque setting for private events. The three adjacent spaces can be used together or separately. Select the interior terrace for a dinner of 30 or a standing reception for 50. Or, use the interior terrace for cocktails with the exterior terrace for a dinner of 60. The tented area can accommodate seating for 150 guests with cocktails and/or dancing in the exterior terrace. The space set-up is limited only by your vision and budget!
