Internships


The Sewall-Belmont House and Museum, the historic headquarters of the National Woman's Party, located on Capitol Hill, currently offers internships to undergraduate and graduate students. Special and limited internships may be available for high school students. Internships are offered throughout the year and vary between 15-35 hours per week. All internships are unpaid, however academic credit may be available through your home institution.

Sewall-Belmont House and Museum internships will offer students the opportunity to grow professionally and personally through project-specific opportunities with staff in the areas of Museum administration, digital imaging, research and interpretation, collections management, visitor services and marketing, education, and public programs. Some projects are open to students only in specific disciplines.

Past internship projects have included research into NWP membership, curriculum planning, collection cataloging, grant research and proposal development, interpretive program design, and projects in the digital imaging program.
